"One among you who Serves"

By the Grace of God I was Ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Trenton on May 11, 2013 by Bishop David. M. O’Connell in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral in Trenton.

I was born in East Meadow, L.I., N.Y. the fifth of seven children. We moved to Northern Virginia for a while before returning to Staten Island. It was here I met the love of my life. Roseann and I married in May of 1984 in St. Thomas More Church. We made Manalapan our home in 1995 after living in Staten Island and Edison, NJ. The Lord has blessed us with four wonderful children; Michelle, Diane, Kristen & Matthew. Our Grandson Aiden James was born to Michelle and her husband Ed in August of 2012. Their second child, Samantha Rose was born in August of 2016. They are a tremendous source of joy for us all.

I enjoyed a 25 year career in financial services before taking a medical leave in 2006. Today I am a stay at home Dad who tries to live every day to the fullest. My volunteer activities in the parish include managing the parish web site, recruiting and training members of our Altar Server Ministry, Youth Group Coordinator and assisting with various fundraising activities. I enjoy attending the Monday night Novena held at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Outside the parish I am a patient-to-patient volunteer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1992 and serve as Chaplain of the Gordons Corner Fire Company 26-1. I enjoy working outdoors, motorcycle rides through the countryside with my wife, camping and sitting around a roaring fire in the chiminea with friends.

I will strive to serve the needs of our diverse parish to the best of my ability. At the end of the day, I only hope to be remembered as “One among you who Serves”.
