Wedding Ceremony:

Introductory Rites:

Processional: usually organ music. Usually one selection for all involved in the procession.

Liturgy of the Word:

    Hebrew Scripture (First Reading): Please select a reading from the suggestions
    and select a reader.

    Psalm: Most often sung, led by the musicians, refrain sung by the entire assembly.
    Please select a Psalm text from the suggestions.
    The musician will select musical setting.

    Christian Scripture (Second Reading): Please select a reading from the suggestions
     and select a reader.

    Gospel Acclamation (Alleluia): led by the musicians, sung by the entire assembly.

    Gospel Reading: read by the presider. Please select a reading from the suggestions
    in the Pre-Cana book.

    Exchange of Vows

    Exchange of Rings

    General Intercessions: Led by the reader.

    Liturgy of the Eucharist: (if your wedding is a Mass)

    Preparation of the Gifts and Altar: Usually accompanied by organ music because
    of its brevity.

    Eucharistic Prayer: Acclamations sung by the entire assembly, led and selected
    by the musician.


Communion Rite:

    The Lord’s Prayer: Recited by the assembly.

    The Nuptial Blessing: Led by the presider.

    Lamb of God Litany: Led and selected by the musicians.

    Communion Song: Sung by the entire assembly.     Recessional: Usually organ music, or trumpet and organ.
